We got a call from a gentleman in California who found a Jeep on eBay that we had built a while back, the Black Ops Jeep. He wanted to verify all the details in the listing, since it already had an impressive list of upgrades.

After finalizing the deal to buy the Jeep, it was delivered to the Spyder OffRoad shop for another round of modifications, including a 5.7 Hemi VVT  putting out 405HP.

After 3 years of punishment, Clyde’s JK was in need of more than just a few repairs. It was time for a complete rebuild. Clyde has been known for building spectacularly cool Jeeps/trucks/SUVs/hot rods for 2 decades. You should know that a guy who has over 20 automotive magazine features to his credit and runs a 4×4 shop has got to have an eye-popping Jeep.

After years of building amazing Jeeps, Clyde wanted, and deserved, only the best parts available on his rig. Quality parts alone wasn’t enough though. It had to turn heads everywhere it went.

If you’re going to paint a Jeep pink, it’s got to be the perfect pink, so a trip to Toys R Us to get an actual Barbie car was the first stop. Then straight to the paint store for computer color-matched Valspar. Everything that was Rescue Green was painted pink. Everything that was black was painted white.

A whole lot of hours later, this is the result.

This blown Caddy Northstar engine powered sand rail came into the shop for repairs.

The 750HP engine could launch it higher in the air than the motor mounts could handle.

We got the motor mounts fixed and it was back out in the dunes in no time.
